As I told you, we need to shift focus to the Senate in RI. We’ve almost got the house on lock.

Next state on the equality journey for USA after the marriage equality failure in NY is the state of New Jersey when its whole senate votes this Thursday on NJ marriage equality. Then next area on the USA equality journey is Washington, DC. Then USA will see what state is next.
New Hampshire marriage law take effect January 1st, 2010.

I predict RI marriage equality in 2011 after the required end of antigay RI Governor Carcieri’s term.
Isn’t all he is likley going to do is veto any RI marriage equality bill passed by the RI legislature? Would it make sense to wait for him to be first gone in 13 months before this was brought for a vote by the RI statehouse? I thought there were several pro-gay RI governor candidates waiting for RI’s election day of its next gov.
Any remarks on that sort of timetable for RI marriage equality from the gay residents of RI?
I predict a try at restoration of California marriage equality in 2012.

Maybe in Maine another try in 2013? Marrriage equality in Maryland maybe in 2016 same for NY and NJ if iNJ blows it before Christie gets in. In Delaware maybe in 2018. Civil unions in Hawaii somewhere in this next decade.
